Cool Class Activities

Hello everyone-

I hope that you and your family are all doing well and staying safe. We had a great week here at school! I got to see 5th grade projects for Black History Month, 2nd grade Presidential Projects, 3rd grade was writing Fairy Tales with a twist, and lots of other great work going on! Thank you to our teachers for all they are doing to make learning fun, relevant, and engaging.

The kids are enjoying the warmer weather and getting to play outside. Please remember that we may utilize our fields and the path in the woods and kids may get a little dirty. Feel free to send in a pair of shoes that you don't mind getting muddy. Spring time is wet at Robinson!

Please reach out if you have any questions, concerns, ideas, or if we can provide support in any way. Thank you for your partnership in keeping the Robinson community safe.

Take Care-

  • 1/4 page ad: $25
  • 1/2 page ad: $50
  • Whole page ad: $100

Fifth grade families using the dedication ad builder will need to enter a code upon check-put to receive the 1/8 page ad for free. The code is JR5K8ICQ20 and it is also included in the description of the 1/8 page ad when they are adding it to their cart. Yearbook ad sales will end 3/5/21

Prop R - Right for Kids, Right for Our Community

A Zero-Tax Rate Change Proposal Would Address Overcrowding, Safety and Security Challenges, and More

Faced with overcrowded classrooms and a lack of adequate instructional space in its schools, the Kirkwood School District Board of Education unanimously voted on Monday, Jan. 25, to place a zero-tax rate change bond proposal on the April 6, 2021 ballot.

The proposal, called Proposition R, is a ballot issue designed to provide the financial resources to address overcrowding and maintain class sizes with additional classrooms, update aging infrastructure and systems, enhance safety and security district-wide, and complete additional needed facility updates. If approved by voters, every building in the District would be improved. Proposition R requires 57.143% voter approval.

Prop R does not include a new elementary school building.

5th Grade Information

If you have a child preparing to go to Nipher, the information below is of importance. This year, due to having some students virtual and some in-person, we decided to create a Google Form to help our rising 5th grade families make scheduling/course requests. There is a beginning band and orchestra option for students who have no prior experience.

All 5th grade students should have this form completed by a parent/guardian. Parents can complete the form at any point, and we need one from each family by Friday, March 5th.

Here is the link to complete the form:

Save the date for March 3rd at 6:30 pm for a 5th Grade Parent Webinar. Learn about course selections, daily schedule, clubs/activities, and so much more! Zoom link will be sent to all parents the week of the event.

Thank you for your help as we prepare our students transition to Nipher.

Candid Photos Needed

Please load candid photos of your child learning at home to this google folder. Please label the photos you upload with your child's name and building (Robinson). Or if you have prints, you can drop them off at the table in the front entrance at Robinson. We will be using these pictures for our yearbook. Thanks!

Online Registration is for New Students Only- if your child is currently enrolled you do not need to complete this even if transitioning to a new building (Nipher or North Kirkwood). Thanks!
