What Will We Be Learning This Week??
Reading: We will use context clue to make predictions about a text and to demonstrate our understanding of a text.
Writing: We will learn to identify and use poetic elements. We will study the way author's write poems.
Phonics/Grammar: We will learn to write using prepositions and compound words.
Math: We will represent numbers up to 1,200 using standard form, expanded form, word form, and quick drawing base ten blocks.
Social Studies: We will use geographic tools to make maps of our community. We will identify major landforms and bodies of water through listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Science: We will measure, record, and graph weather information regarding temperature, using the appropriate tools. We will record and organize the data collected in a way that makes sense.

Yearbook Photo Information:
PORTRAITS FOR YEARBOOK
If you were not able to come to school to get your child’s picture taken for the yearbook, please feel free to send them to your child’s designer. You can have your child stand in front of any plain background (white wall is fine), and take a picture. Please make sure the picture is not blurry. Please use the following picture as an example. Email your child’s picture to ME by February 3rd, 2021 with your child’s full name and the word portrait in the subject line. Example below:
