The Board of Education provides a "Board Meeting Summary" after each Board meeting. The summary includes a brief description of the main topics and action items. These summaries are not meant to replace minutes. The minutes for each meeting are approved and posted after the next regularly scheduled meeting. We hope these summaries provide some basic information and context around the reports, presentations and action items. The Board of Education engaged in professional development on the strategic planning process led by Dr. Mark Van Clay.

Introduction of New Board Member and Affirm Oath of Office | watch
The Board introduced and welcomed new Board member Mr. Guillermo Guzman. Mr. Guzman affirmed his Board Oath of Office.

  • Student Board Members
    Dr. Melissa Kaczkowski announced the seating of two Student Board Members which will occur in January.
  • Construction Update
    Jack Hayes and John Elleanardo of Frederick Quinn Corporation reviewed and updated the Board on construction work done with District 41 dating back to 2014. Work is substantially complete and all facilities are functionally accessible and in use.
  • Celebration Video
    Dr. Kaczkowski introduced a video featuring District 41 students from all five schools commenting on what they are thankful for. Watch the video HERE

  • Strategic Plan Consultant
    Dr. Kaczkowski discussed the process of selecting a consultant and the goal of having a process in place by the end of the school year.
  • Threat Assessment Consultant
    The District is required to have a threat assessment plan in place. The District is currently working on hiring a consultant that will provide training that will be efficiently integrated into employee schedules and that is cost-effective.
