Early Release

Friday, September 26, is an early release day to provide time for teachers to record grades and make evaluations. School is officially dismissed at 1:10.

PTO Meeting

The next PTO meeting will be Tuesday, October 7, at 6:15 in the Learning Commons (library). PTO meets the first Tuesday of the month.

5th Grade Country Reports

Students are progressing with their country reports and the learning of European countries. Each student has a European country to study and report on. They will be presenting their European travels at the November conferences.

Revolution

The American Revolution is going as well as can be expected. Johnny Tremain is a bit of a challenging read for fourth grade, but we are working together to overcome.

Time Management and Organization

A major challenge last week was taking home what we need and returning with same. I have shared with students that they need to return all items to their backpacks before bedtime; that way in the morning rush, these things will already be where they need to be. Also, I am checking them at dismissal to help ensure they leave with those necessary items.

Class Wiki

Remember, if you are helping your child with work at home and need direction as to where to go or what to do, check the class wiki for possible assistance.
