10/4/19 Home and School Newsletter
Thank you for your support of Team Young and the Tape the Principal to the Wall Challenge.
Because of your generosity, we were able to raise $871.00 to go towards fundraising efforts for Young School and the Indian Prairie Educational Foundation.
We ended the week with a great authors' visit from Henry Winkler and Lin Oliver. Their message of "Never Give Up", "Follow Your Dreams", and "Everyone Has Greatness Inside of You" was so important for all of us to hear.
Have a great weekend.
Supervised Lockdown Practice Drill on Friday, October 4
We used this drill as an opportunity to discuss the ALICE concepts with students, in age appropriate ways, and identify opportunities for improvement in emergency response. We appreciate the assistance of local law enforcement in running our drills and helping keep our school safe.
