A Message from our PTO - MPE Giving Tree
MPE Giving Tree – (formerly known as the Holiday Tree) The PTO will have a tree and wreaths in the main hallway at school. This offers an opportunity for families to help fulfill individual and unique supply needs for MPE teachers, specialists and support staff. Each staff member will add paper ornaments to the tree with their individual supply requests. Parents are welcome to stop in to pick up an ornament, or they can have their student bring one home. The ornaments are color/shape coded for each staff member and there is a legend hanging on the wall that will show that information. This is an optional opportunity and any contribution made to our MPE staff is greatly appreciated.

Please Help - Main Drive Parking
Reminder
Please help us by not parking along the curb on either side in the main drive during the school day. If we were ever to have an emergency, we need to keep our main drive accessible to emergency vehicles. If all of the spots in the main drive are full, we are requesting that you park in our parking lot. Thank you!
Absences
Reminder
If your child is out, please make sure to contact the office the morning of the absence. Sometimes, teachers might not be able to check their emails throughout the day and therefore it is not communicated with the office.
Parents often inquire about “assignments” for students before or during an absence. If a child has been absent due to illness, instruction on the objectives covered should exist prior to any assignments being completed independently at home. Therefore, it might not be possible for assignments to be sent home in advance of a scheduled absence. Students are allowed a minimum of the same number of days they are absent for illness to make up any missed assignments. Teachers will work with parents in special circumstances that require extended absences due to illness.
Dismissal
Reminder
Please note that the front drive should only be used by our day care vans and busses at dismissal. All car pickup should be done on the South side of our building. If you have a special circumstance, please let us know.
Thank you.
ID’s at the Main Entrance
Reminder
Due to district protocol, all visitors must present a photo ID to the camera at the front door. Whether you have been here multiple times over many years or new to our school family, please plan on having your ID out and ready to show the camera.
All visitors must sign in at the front office. This will be the same at arrival, throughout the day, or dismissal.
Thank you for keeping our children safe!
