Washington Character Parade

The Washington Costume Parade is Thursday, October 26th at 2:30pm. Our fifth grade students will lead the Washington students and staff on a neighborhood parade! Costumes are optional. If students are wearing costumes, please remember sensible shoes, since we will be walking around a couple of blocks, no weapons, and no masks that obscure visibility. Your child’s classroom teacher will provide directions on if students should come to school dressed or if they will change here at school prior to the parade.

Parents are welcome to attend and watch. Parade route: South on 68th Street to Lloyd. East on Lloyd Street to 67th Street. North on 67th Street to playground.

If you are planning on taking your child home after the parade, you must check him/her out in the classroom and in the office.

The Right At School childcare program is happy to announce that their programs are now part of the Wisconsin Child Care Assistance / Subsidy program effective now. This is a huge benefit for the families and students who need the support of the subsidy program to help offset some of the cost of the RAS tuition in order for them to attend. Science Technology Engineering Math (STEM)

4th and 5th grade teachers are being trained to use Hapara Workspaces and Google Classroom within different content areas. Both of these platforms allow for teachers to prepare differentiated lessons while making it easier for the students to stay organized, collaborate with teachers and peers and manage their work.
