Nook Seating - Creation of Tranquil Lunch Seating in the Nixon Cafeteria

Thank you to SERF for providing Nixon School two flexible seating areas for children in Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4, and Grade 5 during the lunch sessions each day. All children will have the opportunity to join in and sit at these tranquil spaces for lunch on a student interest and teacher chosen rotating bases.


The Nook shelter is the perfect solution for those looking to collaborate or work independently in a quiet environment designed to help them reset, focus, or connect with others. The pitched roof and acoustic panels significantly reduce ambient noise, creating a secluded, quiet space that feels like a hug for your brain. Incredibly versatile, the Nook is ideal for working and healthcare environments, schools, event spaces, and more. This Nook features a whiteboard back panel that is writable on both sides and locking casters for secure placement and easy repositioning. SPS Community Math Website!

We have a new SPS Community Math website! This site is updated with activities, puzzles, links, and information about our math program. As we introduce the new site, we are also launching our first SPS Mathematicians' Challenge. This challenge will take place during the month of May and is available for all grade levels. It can be completed online or with paper. Check it out on the site or ask your building Math Coach how to participate. We look forward to seeing your mathematical thinking and creativity!
