Principal's Den
It was wonderful seeing so many of you participate in our Spirit Day activities last week in support of Yellow Ribbon Week. This week we are having our Citizenship Assemblies on Monday and Tuesday. Our PTA will also be selling Cloverdale shirts after school for those of you that are interested. We will also be starting Sports for Learning. Once a week each of our classes will have an opportunity to participate in a special activity led by our Sports for Learning Coaches.
I'd like to remind you how important it remains for us to follow all safety protocols. Masks continue to be required for all indoor activities. It is important that you continue to wash your hands frequently, avoid touching your face, and not participate in any games that include touching others including tag.
Our PTA is planning to open our student store in October. Many of you have already been earning Lion Pride Tickets. Please continue to save these in order to exchange them for prizes. We have wonderful citizens at Cloverdale and we want to reward your leadership and kindness.
Please continue to follow all safety recommendations concerning Covid. If you are sick, experiencing any covid symptoms, or have been exposed to someone at home that has tested positive, it is very important that you remain home until you are feeling better. If you experience any covid-like symptoms please stay home and let us know. You will be asked to remain home and test on or after the 5th day, or you may choose to isolate for ten days and you no longer experience symptoms. If you have any questions, please contact our school office for assistance.
It's great to have your back. Let's make this our best year and as always, let's strive to be LEADERS BY EXAMPLE!
Thank you,
At Cloverdale we strive to be Leaders by Example. As I mention to our students during announcements, this means that we always try to do the right thing even when no one is looking.
As part of our school's Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS), we also learn to ROAR. This is a matrix that exemplifies our core values of being Respectful, Organized, Accountable, and Responsible.
Our goal is to be college ready once we graduate from High School and that starts today!
Sincerely,
Genaro García
Principal
