What Will We Be Learning This Week?


We will continue Unit 3 in Math Expressions, concentrating on graphing and word problem situations. We should finish Unit 3 right before Thanksgiving.

Language Arts

We will continue learning about theme using Island of the Blue Dolphins from the Scott Foresman textbook.

Social Studies

We will be learning about the triangular slave trade between Africa, the American Colonies and England.


We will take the Living Organisms unit test on Tuesday. Students should begin studying at least 15 minutes each night.

Thank you to all the parents who donated materials for our model lungs project! The students were able to create models that helped them to understand how the diaphragm controls the inhalation and exhalation of the lungs.

I resumed sending home weekly progress reports today. You should expect one just about every Friday for the remainder of the quarter. There is no need to sign or return these. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's grades!
