wbes tv!
This year, Bryceville Elementary School has started their morning announcement newscast, WBES TV! The 5th-grade safety patrollers along with sponsor Miss Hunter Williams get to be our news anchors each week with special opportunities for our other grade level students to join on-screen. Every Friday, they host a special guest message! Here is the message from last Friday featuring Fang, the mascot from the Jacksonville Icemen!

Accessible Technology in the Hive
Yulee Primary School Pre-K students utilize technology to access communication tools/ applications to participate in Daily Math, Weather, and Science Activities. Students are also using technology to access OT tools and applications to learn how to develop a definitive point for testing purposes and properly form letters using prewriting strategies. Students are also using the technology to participate during center rotations with their verbal and nonverbal peers. Our classroom appreciates the support we’ve received from the community.

Hands on Math Snacks
Math is more fun when you can eat it. Students at Bryceville Elementary School loved the hands-on learning about ten frames with a giant ten frame mat. Students took turns using the giant mat and then made numbers with cheese balls on their own small mat.

BINGO for P.R.A.I.S.E.
Every week, Mrs. Cheshire's class works together to show PRAISE (proud, respectful, accountable, involved, safe, everyone). PRAISE is Yulee Primary's school-wide behavior system. When the class as a whole shows PRAISE, gets a class compliment, transitions quickly and quietly, or really impresses Ms. Cheshire, they get a bingo spot on their bingo board. They get their agreed-upon class reward when they get five bingo emojis in a row (BINGO!). Our most recent reward was lunch bunch, and students could eat outside during lunch with Ms. Cheshire!

Throughout the day, children worked with activities such as beginning sound pasta, slice it up beginning sounds, love the pizza tens frames, build a number pizza, and the menu of sight words!
