Brooker Creek Elementary

Home of the Bobcats

Hello Brooker Creek Families,

It has been a great week at school as we officially began our state testing with 4th and 5th grade FSA Writing testing. Our Bobcats came to school ready to take on the challenge! Thank you for supporting them as they 'show off' all they have learned! Next week, our 3rd graders will do the same on their FSA Reading assessment. We know they are ready! Please make sure to support them by ensuring a good night's sleep, a brain-food breakfast, and getting them to school on time on both Tuesday, April 20th, and Wednesday, April 21st.

Included below, you will find the 2021-2022 Instructional Calendar. Please make sure to use this when making plans for the year ahead.

Have a wonderful weekend. If you have any questions, as always please reach out.

Sincerely,

Jenn Mekler, Principal

2021-2022 School Year

As summer starts to approach, we are starting to plan for the 2021- 2022 school year. We wanted to make sure that our BCE families have the Instructional calendar so that if you are planning trips, you can work around our school days. The calendar is included below.

Also, soon we will be working to group students for instruction for next year. While we do not accept teacher requests, at any grade level, we do encourage families to share information about student learning styles or teaching styles that have been successful in the past. A non-request for a teacher can only be submitted if a sibling had the teacher previously. Please make sure that if you are submitting a non-request that you include the name of the sibling and the academic year that the sibling was with the teacher. Please send this information directly to Mrs. Mekler at meklerj@pcsb.org before May 1st.

Brooker Creek Café

We are continuing to ask our BCE families to preorder meals when possible. When parents spend a few minutes pre-ordering their child’s lunch, it allows our cafe team to plan ahead. These forms allow us to organize the meals by the teacher and have them ready when the students come into the lunchroom and reduce the amount of time they have to spend in line.
