Thanksgiving break is a great time to restock school supplies. Many students are running low on pencils, so please purchase some more over the break. Also, students need to bring headphones to school each day.

Rescheduling of Picture Retakes

Color Portraits needed to change the date for picture retakes from November 19th to December 14th.

NEW PICTURE RETAKE IS NOW TUESDAY DECEMBER 14TH.

Pictures will start at 11am, which is during the lunch periods. Students will take their retakes during the scheduled recess time.

You will need to click the link at the bottom of the email to continue the rest of the registration process. At this time, it will ask you for residency documents and ID.

HPHS is very excited to begin your journey as Giant of the class of 2026!!

If your student will NOT be attending HPHS for the 2022-2023 school year, please notify us in the office at 224-765-3600.

Outdoor Recess and Cold Temperature Guidelines

"Northwood will continue to follow the District’s Outdoor Recess and Cold Temperature Guidelines which states that all schools in the North Shore District will engage in outdoor recess unless temperatures are at or below 15 degrees (including wind chill) or if there is precipitation. Students will also be allowed to come into our buildings before school when the temperature is at 15 degrees or below including wind chill. Please make sure your students are dressed for weather conditions - coats, hats, gloves, scarfs etc."

Water bottles/Lost and Found

WATER BOTTLES:

Please remind your student that they need to be bringing their own refillable water bottles to school. We do not have cups for water or have water bottles on hand. Even though the weather is not hot outside, the students get thirsty being inside.

LOST AND FOUND:

Our lost and found area continues to grow each week with lost sweatshirts, hats, water bottles, coats, etc. Please have your student look at the area to see if anything belongs to them. ***ALL ITEMS WILL BE TOSSED OR DONATED 12/17/21***
