FROM THE HEAD'S DESK
Many thanks to all who turned up to the Burns Night, it proved to be a great event and a successful fund raiser for the Rugby tour to South Africa. A very busy time on the Sporting side sees our boys playing Football, running Cross Country and racing on the river at Hampton, good luck to all our athletes.
The Year 9 Options Evening proved to be an informative and positive event and I look forward to meeting the Year 7 Parents next Wednesday.
Good luck to the performers in our Orchestra Day next Friday.

PTA AGM at Junior Boys Sports Hall at 7.30pm
Maths Common Task 2 for Years 7,8,9,10
Please can we remind the boys that the Maths Common Task 2 will be held during the week beginning 8 February. The list of topics to be covered and the Revision Exercises can be found in the Hub. They have to revise and practise solving questions, starting this weekend.
Senior Boys' Music Concert
Monday 7 March at 6.15pm As usual there will be a variety of musical items featuring solo and ensemble items from across the years.
Refreshments will be served at 5.55pm. It may be advisable to enter the school site to park, once the coaches have left, usually about 5.45pm.
We look forward to welcoming you at this event. It is expected that all performers stay for the whole of the concert so that they can support the other 'acts'.

Geography Field Trip - Year 10 - Friday 18 to Sunday 20 March - to Margam Park - full information has been emailed home.
History Trip - Year 10 - Friday 22 & Saturday 23 April - to Ypres - full information has been emailed home.
Sailing Trip - Years 7 to 13 - Portland, Dorset Thursday 7 to Friday 8 April
Sailing Courses which will be open to all Claires Court pupils. Two days of sailing and overnight with the Andrew Simpson Sailing Centre, based at the Weymouth and Portland Sailing Academy. The accommodation is at RYA Portland House and the cost will be around £200. A full information sheet is available from Reception.
Hazewinkel Rowing Camp
Letters requesting balance payments and passports have been emailed home.

Years 9 & 11 Immunisation
Our School Nurse has posted home a letter and form, please ensure that this is completed appropriately and returned to school. The form must be returned to school even if you do not wish your son to be immunised. The date for this is Thursday 11 February.
Jazz Band Letter - Mr Roach has handed out an important letter to the members of the Jazz Band with regard to the arrangements for the Orchestral Day to be held on 12 February at the Girls site. Please could you ask your son for the letter, or alternatively check their blazer.
Holiday Activities
Monday 15 to Friday 19 February - 'World of Animals' week this coming holiday with Xtra activity days for older children on Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 February at the Girls site (1 College Avenue, Maidenhead SL6 6AW)

Free extended sessions for Claires Court Junior and Senior pupils, and a hot lunch option (holiday club only) Last day to book for this is Friday 5 February.
