Red Ribbon Week Builds Character
Thank You!
Emma Love Hardee Elementary celebrated their custodial staff with goodies and words of affirmation. Faculty, staff, students and administration were happy to share notes of appreciation with their team.
Ms. Smith, Mrs. Clark, and Mrs. Hogue were prepped and ready to celebrate National Lunch Week.

Learning S'more About Science
The 5th-grade students in Mrs. Stewart's class at Hilliard Elementary learned about physical and chemical changes while making s’mores. The students enjoyed the learning experience and the yummy treat!
Virtual Heroes

Facebook Face-Off
The grade levels at Callahan Intermediate competed in a Facebook competition for the best book character theme. It was a tight race, but third grade won the competition. The whole grade level was given extra planning time the following week! Congratulations!

Congratulations to Cole Beamish, the Adult Education Student of the First Quarter. He will be presented an award at the Nassau County School Board Meeting on November 12th.
Callahan 💗's Cason
During Principal Appreciation Month, Dr. Monica Cason, from Callahan Intermediate School, was showered with flowers, gifts, letters from students, and signs as a thank you from the CIS family. Dr. Cason goes above and beyond to make Callahan Intermediate an amazing school. Thank you for all that you do!
SUPER Readers
Mrs. Hogue, from Emma Love Hardee Elementary, implemented the SUPER model for intensive Reading in Ms. Hebert's room. The SUPER model is Setting Up Pirates for Excellence in Reading. Students are enjoying learning strategies to continue building reading comprehension.
WILD Warriors!
Each Thursday in October was WILD for Callahan Intermediate School. Faculty, staff, and students dressed in safari attire & implemented WILD learning strategies! Check out the video of their adventure.

Hunger-Free Campus
Dr. Lauren Jones, Director of Food & Nutrition Services, is pleased to announce that all 16 schools were awarded the Hunger-Free Campus Recognition at the bronze level for all their efforts in support school meals and feeding our children and community.
To help promote the annual fundraiser, Dance-A-Thon, Emma Love Hardee Elementary's administrators played their parts.
