Principal Post
Thanks to the Bloomingdale Office Depot/OfficeMax and General Manager, Khurram Syed for the donated school supplies that were dropped off at DuJardin School this week. These supplies will be distributed to students and families at various school activities over the next several weeks.
The week of February 3rd students in grades 1-4 will take the Otis-Lennon School Ability Test. The OLSAT is designed to measure abstract thinking and reasoning ability. Students in grades 1-2 will take three assessments in verbal and nonverbal modalities while students in grades 3-4 will take one assessment covering both areas. Verbal and nonverbal scores in addition to the total score, provide a more complete picture of students’ abilities. OLSAT results will be shared with parents during the 3rd trimester.
2019-2020 Illinois Parent Survey
Dear Parent, The Illinois State Board of Education invites you to participate in a school improvement survey for parents. In this survey, you will be asked to provide feedback about DuJardin School. Please consider your child’s current experience at school (i.e., 2019-2020 school year). This survey is designed to help school and district leadership improve their understanding of the parent/school relationship.
All responses are completely anonymous. Responses to anonymous surveys cannot be traced back to the respondent. Additionally, your responses will be combined with other parents from DuJardin School and summarized in a school report to further protect your anonymity. Your participation in this survey is voluntary and you have the right to discontinue participation at any point.
If you have more than one (1) child, you may elect to participate multiple times.
The 5Essentials Parent Survey is now open. Parents are encouraged to complete this survey. Please use the following link to access the parent survey: http://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/survey/parent/

Announcing a new Theatre Group - The Mackenzie Project
Theatre has always been a place of inclusion: a safe place that welcomes anyone who wants to perform, play, build, design, direct and hang out and make friends. What we are doing with the Mackenzie Project is inviting students in grades 3 -12, with special needs and without, who are interested in working together to put on a show at the end of the year. The performance will feature students with special needs in the starring roles and be the leaders of crews, while being supported by student peer mentors. For more details go to:
