We would like to invite you to CRASE Training on April 15th at 6:30 pm in the Travis Auditorium. CRASE Training:
In the past two decades, horrific mass shootings have been thrust into public consciousness. Mitigating the effects of these sudden incidents is the responsibility of those who serve in our communities’ public safety organizations. The public expects an effective and swift response to these threats and the sequence of events that follow.
Research has shown, however, that many of the mass attacks, or active attacks, are over before law enforcement responders arrive on the scene. Civilians who find themselves embroiled in such an event must be prepared to take immediate action to save their own lives before law enforcement arrives. The average response time for police response to an active attack event is three minutes. Without effective, pre-planned response options for civilians at the scene of the attack, many victims can be seriously injured or killed during these three minutes.
Law enforcement agencies are frequently requested by schools, businesses, and community members for direction and presentations on what they should do if confronted with an active shooter event. The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course, designed and built on the Avoid, Deny, Defend (ADD) strategy developed by the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) Center in 2004, provides strategies, guidance and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, civilian response options, medical issues, and considerations for conducting drills.
We look forward to our continued work with parents and law enforcement officers in our effort to ensure our schools are safe. Thank you for entrusting your child to our care.
Graduation Ticket Pick Up will be Monday, May 13 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Tickets may only be picked up by the graduate or a parent listed in Skyward. Tickets that are not picked up this evening will be given to students at graduation practice on May 23rd.

Important Information for Parents that Drop Off Students
It has also come to our attention that it is becoming a common practice for students to be dropped off at Timewise on Harlem and then walk across the street. This is a huge safety concern for our students as there is a large amount of traffic on Harlem before school and very minimal lighting on the road. Thank you for dropping your student on campus!
Need a Verification Of Enrollment?
Students needing a Verification of Enrollment or VOE for driving permits or licenses will need to submit their request on the VOE clipboard located at the Registrar’s Office. Students may sign-up for their VOE before school, in between classes, during lunch, or after school. Once they sign-up for their VOE, it will be ready the following day after 7th period for pick up in the black box at the Registrar’s Office.
Please plan accordingly to ensure your VOE will be ready in time for any appointments you may have.

PTO/YES Program
The YES table is every Tuesday during all three lunches. Students can look for us in the Commons with the red tablecloth labeled Travis YES Program. If students need a print-out of their hours for National Honor Society or for any other reason, they should fill out the request form available at the table and turn in to one of the YES representatives. Students will be able to pick up the print-out the following Tuesday at the YES table, so please make a note of your deadlines and plan accordingly!
