Look What We Are Learning:

English/Writing -


  • Complete letters to our Veterans
  • Persuasive Essay (1st Draft)
  • Descriptive Adjectives
  • Complete Simple and Compound Sentence
  • Subordinate Conjunctions


Math - This week in math we will wrap up our unit on decimals, with division of decimals. We will finish and review on Thursday, students will take their Unit Test on Friday!


Reading - We will continue our unit on Reading to Understand Informational Text. We will be analyzing organizational patterns in text. Our vocabulary words for the week are ancient, urban, variety, and periodically. Homework will go home on Monday and is due on Thursday. It is titled "Letter to a Friend". They should also be reading a minimum of 20 minutes each night.



Science - Students will learning about natural resources (renewable and nonrenewable) and alternative energy. Students will be taking their energy quiz on Thursday 11-12-15.

  • Study Guides went home for students to study. Studying the study guide is their homework for this week.


Social Studies - Students will review the war for independence and important people of the Revolution.


Butler's Social Studies Class: Students have homework (Boston Tea Party) and a vocabulary test 11/13/15.
