Math Homework

Students were given math homework this week. In class on Monday and Tuesday they were given 15 minutes to begin working on the assignment and ask any questions they may have had. If they were finished today they were given the option to turn in the work or take it home for "homework." Any work not finished in class was also taken home today in Tuesday folders.

All homework needs to be returned by Friday. Please help your child bring it back to school as soon as it is finished! Math homework will continue through April.

Math 4.9(B) solve one- and two-step problems using data in whole number, decimal, and fraction form in a frequency table, dot plot, or stem-and-leaf plot

We covered this skill at the beginning of the year and have continued to review it. We will continue to practice reading and using these types of charts and tables to record data.

Science Fair reminder

The science fair will be here before we know it! Be on the lookout for experiments that include a variable. Some "experiments" found online are more of a demonstration so start asking your child about a question or interest they have. Then, change part of the experiment (the material, time, etc...) and compare the result. Check out the website below for some great experiments!

More information will come home in the next few weeks. Experiments will be judged and awards will be given!

Bucket Drumming Update from Mrs. Masters

Just an FYI:

Permission forms were sent out this morning. However, we had several absences and those people didn’t get their form. They will need to attend rehearsals before they are given a form to attend the performance on Feb. 3rd. If you have a form returned to you please send it my way. The attire is KHES 2015 shirt and blue jeans. Thanks!
