From the Principal:
Be sure that you have checked your child's report card, signed it, and returned it to your child's teacher.
Our Fall Festival was such a great night! Thank you to everyone that attended, donated, and/or volunteered. You participation made for a great evening for our students and their families.Thank you, also, to those of you that attended a parent/teacher conference. The relationship between teacher and parent is so important, so we appreciate your partnership with us!
We are looking forward to the fun holiday season that is quickly approaching! Be sure to stay informed and join our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter.
Have a great weekend!
Leader Profile:
This week’s Leader Profile attribute is CITIZENSHIP.
When you are ready for life, you follow the laws and rules that are in place, contribute to the world around you, serve others, support authority, and always try to leave the environment around you better than when you found it. By doing these things, you are using the leader attribute, CITIZENSHIP.
This weeks “I will” statement: “I will be a great citizen in my school by following rules in the classroom and around the campus .”
September Staff Member & Teacher of the Month:
Ms. Brittney Hay is our teacher of the month for September. We are so proud of Ms. Hay and all the wonderful things she has been doing in her classroom. Ms. Hay graduated from UNT Dallas with a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies. She has a daughter named Brooke in 2nd grade here at LSRO. She enjoys dancing and spending time with her family. She has a twin sister and an older brother. She is very thankful to work with the most supportive first grade team ever!
Mrs. Lori Field is our September Staff member of the Month. She has work at LSRO for 7 years as one of our amazing Instructional Aides. She has also been a big help to our counselor over the years to help prepare for our state testing in the Spring. Our testing could not get done without Mrs. Field's organization and help.
Mrs. Field and her family are very involved in their church, Love My City theater and Special Olympics. Her and her husband, Rick, have three amazing children that keep them very busy. Thank you Mrs. Field for all you do here at LSRO.
