It started with the Mexicans wanting a revolution from Porfirio Diaz. In 1915, poncho villa led 500 men to raid Columbus. In 1914, Europe became engaged in a terrible war. Then a Bunch of countries joined together and started fighting other countries/alliances. At first, the, us stayed neutral. But Americans wanted to enter the war. Then Germany sent a telegram to Mexico say join us and we give you Texas, when it was published in the US they joined the war. Texas was a big key because that is where they trained the soldiers. France, Great Britain, Russia and the USA to fight Germany, Austria-Hungary, Ottoman Empire, Mexico were on Germany's side. President Wilson who got the US to get in the war and David Lloyd George who played a key role in organising the British army. Germany had formally surrendered on November 11, 1918, and all nations had agreed to stop fighting while the terms of peace were negotiated. On June 28, 1919, Germany and the Allied Nations (including Britain, France, Italy and Russia) signed the Treaty of Versailles, formally ending the war.
The Great depression
it all started when the farmers started having trouble growing crops and goods. But people tried to be optimistic about the oil boom and oil industries. Then black Tuesday happened that is when the stock market crashed and that led up to the great depression. president Hover was involved because he thought that the GD would not last long and that he blamed the economic problems. The dust bowl was formed by droughts erosion while severe sand storm where going on that combined together and they had effects on farmers because when dust bowls formed they would kill all their food and
supplies and would kill many people.
The 2 main people in world war 2 were Adolf Hitler and FDR. the countries at war were Germany, Italy, Japan, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria on one team against U.S., Britain, France, USSR, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, Greece, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, South Africa, Yugoslavia. Texas contributed to the country during the war by training the troop there. The Texans were affected by the war because they helped fight since the beginning and many of them died. The World War 2 ended with Adolf Hitler dead and the japan signing a peace treaty.
