Bishop Noland Episcopal Day School
Alumni E-Newsletter
Happy New Year, Eagles!
It’s a new year, new beginnings!
We are so excited about Bishop Noland’s new beginning with a new campus that will be opening this fall for 7th – 9th grade. Enrollment is open now and we are eager to see who will join the very first graduating class of Bishop Noland Episcopal Day School, also known as the “Cornerstone Class”. Since 1953 Bishop Noland Episcopal Day School has been providing academic excellence to a diverse student body in a Christian environment. The Rev. Frances “Boo” Kay states that our reputation in the community is well known for producing creative, highly successful graduates who become leaders in their own fields.
Speaking of highly successful graduates, we enjoy following up with our alumni to see where they are and what they are doing today. We would greatly appreciate it if you would send us updates on exciting events that are happening in your life. Have you recently updated your email or mailing address? Won an award? Gotten married? Had a baby? Run into another EDS alum or one of your former teachers? Started a new job? We want to hear about it! Please send all notes to Callie Thomas, Director of Advancement, at cthomas@episcopaldayschool.org. Also, if you haven't filled out the Alumni Registration form, please click here.
New Year ♥ New Beginnings. It is time we have some new alumni engagement at Bishop Noland Episcopal Day School to connect with one another and reminisce on the glory days. We have some exciting announcements for our alumni and we hope you ALL save the dates on your calendar. Seriously, you don’t want to miss out. ↓

Alumni Contest - Advancing the Vision One Brick at a Time
We will have commemorative bricks that will be displayed in the open-air plaza between the commons and the gymnasium on the South Campus. These bricks will be a permanent part of Bishop Noland Episcopal Day.
We would like to invite you to donate any dollar amount to fund your class brick. Your funds will help pave the way to our capital project goal of $10 million. We are seeking the final 20% to fully fund our Capital Campaign, Advancing the Vision, which will lessen the amount the school will finance and improve the facilities we will be able to offer our students. If 30 classes complete one $200 brick, we will raise $6,000 for the Capital Campaign! That would be AMAZING!
Each class brick will need to raise $200 for one (4 x 8) brick. Once the final amount is raised, a brick will be ordered for your class. If the class reaches $400, the class brick will increase to an (8 x 8) brick. Each class brick will have inspirational words chosen by a class representative. A few examples are:
· EDS EAGLES - 8th grade class of 1995
· Proud to be an Eagle - 8th grade class of 1992
· GO EAGLES – 8th grade class of 2002
Once a class brick fund begins, we will begin tracking the amounts of each class brick to keep everyone posted! Which class will get their brick first? Please help us spread the word!
You can send money quickly and securely via credit card by clicking the “Donate Now” button on our school website at http://www.episcopaldayschool.org/Support/annual-funds. Make sure to include your name, address, and class year in the "ADD SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS TO THE SELLER" under the dollar amount.
If you choose to send a check, you can mail your payment with your name, address, and class year to Bishop Noland Episcopal Day School, 803 N. Division Street, Lake Charles, LA, 70601. You are also encouraged to visit us at school and drop off your funds toward a class brick. This is a great way for all the alumni to be involved with the Capital Campaign for the South Campus.
If you are interested in purchasing your own brick, please contact cthomas@episcopaldayschool.org or click here. We can’t wait to fill the plaza with your bricks. Thank you in advance for your support!
