We hope to see our Wranglers out bright and early on Tuesday mornings to run with Ms. Hargrave. We will be tracking laps and seeing how far we can run! Noetic Math

Interest Form Due 3/16

Grades 2-5

Our annual Spring Noetic Math Contest will take place during the month of April and is available to students in Grades 2-5. Students will take the test online after school on Wednesday, April 19th at 2:45pm.

The NLMC is one of the largest math contests in the United States for elementary and middle school students. Every year, more than 30,000 students across the country participate in the contest to compete against each other. The goal of the NLMC is to develop students' problem-solving skills so that they will become better thinkers and they will be better prepared for advanced STEM studies.

During the test, students will apply their problem-solving skills and math concepts learned in the classroom to solve twenty creative math problems independently. The top scorer of each team will earn a Team Winner medal. In addition, the top 10% of students in the nation will earn the National Honor Roll medals and the top 50% of students in the nation will earn the Honorable Mention ribbons.

All 4th and 5th grade students are welcome to join Mrs. Ackmann and Mrs. Young for additional practices. More information in the form that follows.

This form indicates your planned participation in the contest.

Forms must be completed by 3/16.

No parking on Knightsbridge!!

A reminder that there is no parking on Knightsbridge in the 7:30-8:30am hour! There are families parking and walking in to drop off their students. There are city NO PARKING signs on the street and you will be ticketed if you park there between those hours.

Please be mindful of city parking rules to ensure the safety of our Wrangler families.

Minimizing Classroom Interruptions!

In order to minimize classroom interruptions, we have implemented procedures with forgotten items. We are receiving a large amount of deliveries for lunches, instruments, water bottles, library books, clothing and backpacks. Please encourage your students to be prepared and check for their belongings before leaving your house. We appreciate your support!

~ Lunches

Please note that lunches for grades 1-5 that are delivered to the school will be placed on the table outside of the cafeteria. Students should collect them from the table. They will not be delivered to the classroom.

~ Instruments

Forgotten Instruments will be kept in the front office. Students can come to the front to see if their parent has dropped it off.

~ Messages to students

If you need to get a message to your student during the day, please contact the teacher directly.

Keeping our Wrangles Safe!

Glass Containers

We have had several glass containers shatter on the grounds in the last few weeks. Please send your students to school with containers not made from glass. This includes items for their lunch box or water bottles. Thank you for your support in keeping our Wranglers safe!

Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures

  • Students may not be dropped off or picked up after school through the front entrance!
  • Please be mindful and DO NOT park in Staff parking spots to drop off students. Those are reserved for staff members only.

A few friendly reminders for the drop-off and pick-up line:

  1. If you are using the drop-off and pick-up lines, please pull all the way forward and do not leave your vehicle.
  2. All students using the drop-off and pick-up line should be ready to leave the car with their backpacks.
  3. There is NO parking in the drop-off and pick-up lines.
  4. All students should enter campus through our gates on Sandhurst and Knightsbridge.

Lost & Found

Lost and Found is located by the Multi Purpose Room. Students may check on the light blue cart for lost items. Parents may enter through the double doors before or after school to check for lost items.

Please do not enter through the front of the school to look for lost items.

The items will be donated at the end of each month.
