STAAR Camp

As we wrap up the school year, many of our teachers are beginning to review for the various STAAR tests. If you are a virtual student who is taking the STAAR, we would love for you to come to school to participate in person for the reviews. Starting on Wednesday, May 5th, students will not be required to wear uniforms to school. Students must follow the Hays CISD Dress Code and may not wear jeans or shorts with rips, tears, or holes.

SMS Spring Camp

From April 26 - May 14, Simon Middle School will be hosting spring camps to provide our virtual learners an opportunity to come to campus and hone their skills and prepare for next school year. Unfortunately, with virtual learning, teaching many of the skills necessary to be successful in fine arts and athletics has been difficult. We want our virtual learners to be on a level playing field with the rest of our students and be confident they will succeed in our fine arts and athletic programs next year. Our camps will run from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. Students are welcome to stay at school for the remainder of the day or you can pick them up at 9:30. Grab and go breakfast will be available. To register, please fill out the Registration Form. Students are not required to attend each day, but every day they do attend they will improve their skills and confidence. If you have any questions, please reach out to the appropriate director or coach.

Please do not select shout outs on Sundays or during school Holidays. All proceeds from Marquee Shout Outs will fund incentives for the SMS Positive Behavior Support Program.
