Swift - Slaybaugh Complex
Week of April 23rd, 2023
Principal's Message
Dear Parents/Guardians,
It is very hard to believe that we are here on the last school day of April! It was certainly a quick month. We had a great week at the Swift-Slaybaugh Complex, with fun events including our participation in "Take Your Child to Work Day" on Thursday, April 27th. Although we're lucky enough to have great kids here every day, it was nice to have some extras join us! For anyone whose children joined them at work, I hope you had a great day as well.
Wednesday was "Administrative Assistants' Day." A HUGE thank you to our school secretaries, Ms. Balesteri, Mrs. Finnerty, Ms. Fusaro, and Mrs. Maples. Without them, I can confidently say we would be lost!
On Friday morning our third-grade students participated in a "PREP Rally" to get everyone excited and prepared for next week's upcoming New Jersey State Learning Assessment. During this assembly, students and teachers participated in a series of relays and games, each of them with a message about test prep. A big thank you to our school's Renaissance advisors, Ms. Nardone and Mrs. Stom, for putting together such a fun event for our students!
For any third-grade parent, just a friendly reminder that testing will take place Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday next week, and the same days the following week. Please make sure that your student gets a good night of sleep and eats breakfast at home or at school those days.
I hope everyone has a great weekend and we will see our students back in May!
Sincerely,
Rachel Casumpang
Principal
