Weekly Happenings
Greetings Students and Families,
We have a lot of fun activities packed into only four days this week! Please be sure to check your student's planner every day for any last minute information.
Math focus:
Students will be playing many review math games this week to keep their skills sharp. Many of the games can also be played at home, so please ask your student if you are interested.
Spelling focus:
No spelling this week due to the end of the 2nd quarter.
Student Council Note:
Share the Spirit Food Drive Competition
The classroom with the most cans/dried foods will get an extra P.E. day!
Thanks to the students, our class has a lot of food in our box right now and if we get even more in this week, we might win!!!
No School this Friday!!!
Holiday Celebration
We will have a gift exchange for those who would like to join in. The gift should be something a boy and girl would both like and wrapped without a name. The gift should cost no more than $5.
If you want to send in a tasty treat to be shared please send it in the morning.
Seasonal Projects
Our Sugar Cookie Santa Project is already half-way finished!
Tomorrow we will decorate the cookies from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. Please try to send your child to school with some candy and a firm piece of cardboard covered in tinfoil (about the size of a sheet of paper 8 1/2" x 11").
Normally for this project I would ask parents to send in baking ingredient and tools to help with supply and demand, but with such short notice, this year I will only ask for each student to donate $2 to help absorb the cost of materials.
The finished Sugar Cookie Santas will be ready to take home on Tuesday, December 16th!
