BHS HYBRID 2.0 UPDATE

This week, seniors that selected the hybrid learning option were invited to attend in-person learning on all five days next week. We successfully welcomed back our seniors while maintaining the health and safety of our BHS Community.

Seniors who selected hybrid learning may continue to attend in-person learning all 5 days, again next week. Current levels of students choosing in-person learning allow for the further expansion of in-person learning. Beginning Monday, February 01, 2021, all Juniors who selected hybrid learning mode are invited back to 5 days of in person instruction. Juniors who previously requested parking can park at the Field of Dreams (FOD) lot and enter the building via entrance 27. Please use the paved walkway from FOD to BHS. For those who prefer district provided transportation, please refer to the information below regarding Ride 360 bus information.

At a minimum, we intend to rotate grade levels weekly. However, initial hybrid attendance indicates that we may be able to accommodate two or more grade levels each week. We will update plans for subsequent weeks next week.

COMPLETE EVERY MORNING

In an effort to safely and quickly enter the building each day, students and staff in all schools will continue using the COVID-19 Symptom Screening app to provide for a healthy environment. The web app allows families and staff to quickly and easily report current COVID-19 symptoms. A web app is a website that functions like an app, but does not require a download from an App Store. All staff, visitors and students entering school buildings should use this web app each day before arriving at school. To access our COVID-19 Symptom Screening web app, visit health.barrington220.org on any device.

Ride 360 Transportation Information

SKILLED TRADES FAIR

Barrington High School will host it’s 4th annual Skilled Trades Fair virtually this year. The event will be held over two days- February 24th and February 25th. Students will learn about careers and apprenticeships! This year we will have folks from unions and/or organizations representing Automotive, Aviation Technicians, Carpentry, Laborers, Electrical, Pipe Fitters, Plumbing, Heat & Frost, Operating Engineers, and Landscaping. Students can explore diverse career pathways and meet field experts to discover how you can gain the skills they need - for the career they want!
