Those instances are marked as PRIMARY LEVEL ONLY Professional Growth Wednesdays.

What does Professional Development look like for teachers? The Wilsonville High School staff recently used professional development time to engage in work around inclusive practices — improving on instruction and school culture to lift all students. Staff listened to a panel of Wilsonville High Unified Soccer students, asking questions about their recent experience at the Unified Summit in Portland. Staff then engaged with the documentary "Intelligent Lives," collaborating with one another to think through adjustments that can be made in the classroom to improve student efficacy and achievement outcomes.
Safety Spotlight — SafeOregon Tip Line
The goal of the SafeOregon tip line is to prevent threats to school safety by providing schools and communities with a relevant reporting tool. Tips can be submitted by students through email, phone, text messages, the Safe Oregon mobile app or web portal. Tips are quickly reviewed by SafeOregon technicians, and are then passed to school administrators and local law enforcement agencies. If the tip requires an urgent response, technicians from Safe Oregon will call 911 for immediate help, as well as provide information to West Linn-Wilsonville school administration or school officials.
West Linn-Wilsonville administration will respond to all tips in an appropriate and timely matter, which can include gathering more information, communicating with key stakeholders, using the District Threat Assessment System, using the District Suicide Risk Assessment process, connecting the student with additional resources, contacting law enforcement, or any other responses that are appropriate.
You can learn more about Safe Oregon at http://safeoregon.com/, or contact your child’s counselor for more information.

Have you heard? Music and Arts Partners (MAP) has a new website!
The look may have changed but MAP’s mission remains the same. We are proud to share with you the new MAP website! The address is still the same: http://www.musicandartspartners.org.
While the site has a new look, donations to the MAP general fund and the Lynne Detrick Instrument Memorial Fund can still be processed online. We hope you will check it often for events and updates to all that is happening with MAP and music and arts education in the district.
Please also see the attached MAP newsletter for information about our scholarship recipients, volunteer opportunities and other ways that you can support MAP.
MAP is an independent, volunteer, nonprofit organization that works to advocate and promote arts and music education in the West Linn-Wilsonville School District.
Education Foundation to Host 6th Annual Night with the Portland Trail Blazers
The West Linn-Wilsonville Education Foundation is excited to announce the 6th Annual WLWV Education Foundation’s “Night with the Portland Trail Blazers!"
You won’t want to miss out on a fun evening with friends and family as our Portland Trail Blazers take on the Detroit Pistons at the Moda Center on February 23, 2020.
As in years past, our ticket holders will have the opportunity to participate in at least one experience. First, all ticket holders who purchase through the West Linn-Wilsonville Education Foundation link will have the opportunity to go onto the court after the game and shoot a free throw. This has been a very popular activity over the past five years. Second, any tickets purchased for children between the ages of 6 and 13 will be entered into a drawing to participate in the pre-game Courtside Kids experience.
Ticket Sales will open in December — stay tuned! For questions, please contact Michele Beyer at marcouxbeyer@gmail.com
