Wildcat Word
Monday, November 1, 2021 - Issue #9
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Happy November!
It seems that the cooler temperatures have arrived. Please ensure that your child has clothes suitable for playing outside. Students are outside for 30 minutes twice each day for recess. Classes may also go for walks or participate in outdoor physical activity so being dressed for the weather is an important.
A big shout of of thanks to all of you who sent in socks for "Socktober". The response from the Welborne community was incredibly heartwarming. In in case, warm hearts will translate to lots of warm feet in the local area.
Unfortunately this week we have some sad news to share about Mary Blower, long-time and dearly loved office administrator at Welborne. Mary has been diagnosed with ALS. This has come as a shock to Mary and her family, the Welborne staff and not doubt to you as well. A few staff visited Mary last week and she is in good spirits and handling her diagnosis with the grace that is true to her character. Students will be making cards in the coming weeks that will be delivered to Mary by the staff. Families wishing to send a note to Mary may drop it off at the school and we will ensure it is delivered to her.
If you have any questions or if there's something we have missed, please email us at welba@limestone.on.ca
Warm regards,
Ms. Fraser, Mrs. Clapp, Mr. McFarlane & Mrs. Hart
