CBSD September Boomerang Honoree

Pictured above are the Advisory students and proud parents of Kelli D., CBSD Boomerang Honoree for September. Kelli, a 9th grader at TMS, walks around our school with a smile, greeting everyone as she passes. She is described as dedicated, passionate, and caring. She has an understated leadership in all she does, and that is a lot... she is an athlete, musician, thespian, and service leader. Kelli is always asking for ways to do more and to give back to her school; this demonstrates her commitment to making our school community a positive place for everyone.

We thank Mrs. Nancy Santacecilia and all of CB Cares Educational Foundation for partnering with our CB schools to create a community that provides positive opportunities and recognizes students who make positive contributions. We also thank Mrs. Lisa Mancini and Miss Grace Connell for making Boomerang a part of Tamanend's culture and spirit! Click her to see Mrs. Santacecilia's presentation to Kelli.

Renaissance Faire Trip

On Wednesday, our 7th Graders traveled back in time to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire. Students interacted with Renaissance actors interviewing them for their English and Social Studies classes. They were truly engaged, looked great, and had a lot of fun!

Congratulations to 7th grader Ksenia S, who won the entire Poster Contest at the Renaissance Faire! Ksenia’s poster was voted as the Tamanend winner by her peers, and then was selected by the Faire as their overall winner for the day. Way to show your RoAR, Ksenia! We are so proud of you!

We thank our 7th Grade teachers and chaperones for making this experience possible for our students!

Southside Hurricane Relief Effort

Isn't Tamanend Beautiful?!

The background photo for this week's Tamanend Connections newsletter was taken by 7th Grade Legacy Math Teacher, Mrs. Amanda Higgins, as she arrived to school this week. We think Tamanend always looks beautiful, but... wow! The sunrise and autumn colors in this photo are breathtaking! Thank you for sharing, Mrs. Higgins.

Books for Bucks County

Are you ready to make a difference? Do you want to help spread literacy one page at a time? If so, consider supporting the Books for Bucks County Book Donation Drive starting this week in our school. Our district and school will be collecting new books throughout the week for the United Way of Bucks County. We will have a donation box in our lobby for one week. The new books purchased will go to the needy families and children throughout Bucks County. We have two book stores in Doylestown ready to offer a discount for any purchases made there, or you can drop off a new purchase in our box this week. Thank you for considering as together we support our own communities, spreading the joy and comfort of reading, one page, one book, at a time.
