Creativity
May 1, 2022
Dear Beal Families,
Happy May as we move towards an exciting and busy 7 weeks of school before summer vacation! This past week, we ran our April All School Meeting where we celebrated our character trait of Courage and began working on May trait- creativity. We are excited to celebrate all of the creativity happening across the building, including our wonderful red tailed hawk collage that is being built by our wonderful art teachers in our upper display case (pictured above...) All students will add their feather with their unique qualities, connecting all of our work together as one community as symbolized by our school mascot. We cannot wait to see the finished product!
Sincerely,
Chris Girardi and Shelley Hoey

We want to notify and prepare you for two upcoming adjustments to occur during breakfast and lunch.
Starting on Monday May 9, 2022, All students will be required to enter their Student ID Number on the pin pads at the registers to obtain the free breakfast or lunch meal.
Their account will not be charged but in order to comply with state and federal meal reporting requirements we must obtain more specific data on meals served. Breakfast and lunch meals will continue to be free of charge for all students for the 2021-2022 school year. Students must take the required meals components to get a free breakfast or a lunch. At breakfast students must take a grain, fruit or vegetable and a milk. At lunch students must take 3 out of the 5 meal components( grain, protein, fruit, vegetable and milk) and 1 component must be a fruit or vegetable.
Additionally Students may purchase limited a-la-carte items. Students will need money on their Meal Magic account or cash to purchase a la carte items. Parents can send a check to the Food Service Office C/O the High School 64 Holden Street Shrewsbury,Ma.01545 indicating the child’s name, where funds should be deposited or parents can access their child’s Powerschool account and use the online payment plan: School Pay to add funds to their child’s account.
A-la carte items will include milk, juice, water and slices of pizza. Second lunch meals will also be available for sale [and are not free].
We will practice entering Student ID Numbers with staff support until students are comfortable doing so themselves.
