WriteReader is an excellent tool for elementary students to create multimedia stories. One awesome feature of this program is the option for teachers to write in corrections under the students original text. Students can also create voice overs in their story, and listen to themselves read the story aloud. Students can use original artwork or one of the many pictures provided by WriteReader to complete their ebook.

Recently, WriteReader added comic speech and thought bubbles to give more opportunities for students to create truly original works. Students can place the bubbles anywhere on their picture to show thoughts and words of their characters and still write the storyline in the box provided. Their books will look just like the books they love!
