Good Afternoon ESTLA Families,
We would like to welcome our families to the 2020-2021 year! We are excited to reconnect with our students.
Obviously, this school year looks and feels a bit different than others. So, we commit to our families that we will continue to challenge our students to be great, support their efforts, extend grace, and most importantly, ensure their success.
We want to breakdown the schedule, so students understand what is expected;
- They should be logged into their Chromebook by 8:00am in order to check into Homeroom.
- After homeroom, they will complete assignments Or attend a meeting requested by a teacher.
- At 11:30am, students will receive notification that the class has begun. They will be in live sessions from 11:30am - 3:00pm.
Do not hesitate to contact the main office if you need anything or have questions. Be sure to check your email/phones for any updates. We will also continue to post on our Social Media Platforms and website.
Again, we continue to ask for latitude, patience, and grace during this period of time as we continue to navigate our virtual learning.

Sixth-grade students entering Seventh grade, who have not provided proof of MCV (meningitis vaccine) or Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis), need to provide proof of vaccines prior to October 31st (whether in school or online--still need proof to remain in class). Please make an appointment with your family doctor as soon as possible for your child to receive these vaccines. When your child receives the vaccines, please scan or fax (610-277-8720) the proof to smelso@nasd.k12.pa.us. Thank you for keeping your child safe.

Welcome to our new partners, CATCH
Join us in making our school a healthy CATCH school! This year, Eisenhower Science and Technology Leadership Academy will be working with the Montgomery County Office of Public Health to become a CATCH school.
“CATCH” stands for Coordinated Approach to Child Health and is proven to prevent childhood obesity. CATCH schools are committed to helping kids eat foods that are more nutritious and increase physical activity, as both behaviors are important to their health and wellness today and in years to come.
A key focus of the CATCH program is to create an environment that makes healthy choices easy for students. Throughout the year, we will promote positive health choices through wellness activities, morning announcements, social media, and family events.
We hope that you will encourage healthy choices at home, too. You will receive CATCH news throughout the school year and can follow us on social media for ideas and suggestions. For more information about CATCH, visit www.catch.org.
