We will be having tutorial day on June 2nd. This is an opportunity for students to turn in any unfinished work from May 20- June 1st.
The schedule is as follows:
8:45-9:45am Electives
10:00-10:15am Advisory Check In (to direct students to their classes)
10:15-11:00am Tutorial class 1
11:00-11:15am Community Meeting
11:15-12:15am Tutorial class 2
1:00-2:00 pm Christensen PE, Shephards Elective & ELD Support with Ms. Inna
Please remind your student to take advantage of the additional time and help given to them during this time.

- Deadline to order your BBQ meals and raffle tickets (for a chance to win Disney tickets) is Sunday May 30th, at http://silveroakmontessori.org/events/!
- Pickup your meal order on Friday June 4th (4pm to 6pm) at Golden Oak campus. If you are picking up your GO student on that day, we will accommodate early pickup (3:30pm).
- Thank you for sending pictures of your graduates!
- We are still accepting pictures of how you’ve “come together” over this past year. Whether through zoom classes, play dates, enjoying nature, building new family traditions, playing music or sports, or setting time aside for special bonding activities together (hiking, biking, watching movies, gaming nights, pampering, cooking...), we’d love to see and share in the joy! 11th/12th Formal Night "Under the Stars"
Health and safety protocols will be in place. Students will have to provide proof of COVID 19 vaccination card or a negative COVID 19 test conducted 72 hours before the event.
Limited space will be available. LAST DAY TO PURCHASE TICKETS IS FRIDAY JUNE 4TH.
Graduation 2021- June 11th @ 5PM

MEMORY BOOK
If you have not submitted your baby picture and quote for the memory book yet, time is running out. Multiple reminders and emails have been sent out to you. Please make sure to email these to memorybook@silveroakmontessori.org We will no longer be accepting pictures or quotes if they are not submitted by Monday May 31, 2021 at 11:59pm.
HOTSPOT RETURN
Additionally, for Freshman students, if you never received your NEW Silver Oak Computer please contact Mr. Muerle or the office to arrange a time to receive it. This is the computer that you will borrow and use for the remaining 3 years of you High school career at Silver Oak.
Emergency Broad Band Program - Free hot spots
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) recently approved 3.2 billion dollars in funding for the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program (EBB). The EBB program helps households receive 1 hotspot per household. The cost is 100% covered and each student’s household that qualifies will be able to receive a free device along with the monthly service.
To qualify for this program the household must meet at least ONE of the following criteria:
-- Students participates in the free or reduced price school breakfast/lunch program
-- Experienced substantial documented loss of income since February 29, 2020 with a total household income in 2020 below $99,000 for single filers and $198,000 for joint filers
-- Has income that is below or at the 135% of The Federal Poverty Guidelines
-- Household receive any government assistance such as FPHA or Section 8
-- Received a federal Pell grant in the current award year
The EBB program is a temporary program therefore when funds are fully exhausted the program will end. To receive the FREE hotspot and device please go to this website: http://www.ebbusa.org/ and fill out the federal form.
Food Distribution on Wednesdays
This will be a DRIVE-UP event every Wednesday for the month of May from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at the small parking lot at the corner of Laurel Ave and Princeton St.
We will distribute dairy, frozen meats, fruits, veggies, etc.
THIS IS A CONTACTLESS EVENT!
A Silver Oak staff member will place the food donations in the trunk of your vehicle. Please do not get out of your car
Person(s) picking up food donations MUST
-Wear a mask/ face covering
-Windows must be rolled up at all times
-Leave trunk open

Nursing Internship Opportunity on Wednesdays at Cal State East Bay for the 2021-22 School Year!
Are you interested in health sciences or pursuing a career in nursing? Silver Oak is partnering with Cal State East Bay's nursing program to provide an educational and fun internship opportunity on Wednesdays to a lucky group of next year's seniors. Senior Wednesdays
We will need a signed release from parents allowing their students to be on campus. Health and safety guidelines such as masking and social distancing will be enforced.
Please fill out the release below to allow your senior student on campus. Please have your student bring the signed release with them on their first day on campus.
