Valentine's Day Party
The class Valentine's day party will be next Friday (13th) at 2pm. Students are welcomed to bring a Valentine, as long as you bring one for each person in the class. As far as "goodies"...let's make this party easy!
GIRLS = bring something SWEET!
BOYS = bring something SALTY!
This party will be more low key - just making paper bags to take home Valentine's in, eating our treats and passing out Valentine's. We will have a bigger party with games, etc. at the end of the year!
Practice STAAR tests this week!
Last week we had the students take a practice Writing STAAR test. This week we will do the practice Math STAAR and Reading STAAR. This is the released STAAR test that the 4th graders took last year. We treat this day just like the real STAAR test days...they will have 4hrs. to complete their test. We are really encouraging the students to TAKE THEIR TIME and do their BEST! We will use this data to see what areas we need to spend more time focusing on before the test in April.
We will most likely be sending these tests home next week after we review them in class for your signatures. We want to make sure you know what to expect out of this year's STAAR test and the amount of work needed to find the correct answers!
