Westside Book Talks!

We're taking Reader's Advisory on the road, heading to the Westside for the next couple of months, so please make note of the following locations and dates.


On Saturday, March 12, Annette Goldsmith will host Readers Advisory at her home. We welcome back our dear friend Janet Mumford, visiting from Canada. Join us for a fabulous morning of book chats and snacks, and email Annette Goldsmith to RSVP.

Driving Directions

Directions via the 110:


Take the 110 to the 10.

Take the Overland exit.

Turn right (north) on Overland. (You'll see the giant Mormon Temple straight ahead.)

Turn right (east) on La Grange, which is two blocks past Olympic and go one block.

Turn left (north) on Pelham. We're in one of the condo buildings on the left (west) side of the street. If you get to Missouri, you've passed it.


Directions via Santa Monica:


Take Santa Monica to Overland. (If you're coming from the east, you'll see the giant Mormon Temple on your right.)

Turn left (south) at Overland and go one block.

Turn left (east) on Missouri and go one block.

Turn right (south) on Pelham; ours is the second building on the right.

Parking on the Street

When you arrive, you can call Annette Goldsmith on the directory (the code is 536) or call her cell phone (310-923-5455) so she can unlock the gate.


Walk in and take the elevator (on your right) up to the 2nd floor. Face the courtyard and walk to your left. Annette's unit (301) is the first door.

APRIL DATE & LOCATION HAS CHANGED!!!

Please note the following changes for the April meeting:


  • The meeting will now be on Saturday, April 2
  • The meeting will be at Caroline Gill's home (details later)
  • We need someone to bring bagels, please
  • IT WILL NOT BE ON APRIL 9
  • IT WILL NOT BE AT MAYFIELD

MAY 7TH MEETING UPDATE

The date remains the same for Saturday, May 7th for May's Readers Advisory. What is still up in the air is the location. Ann is working on trying to secure Huntington Library for our May meeting. But if that doesn't work out, we will meet at Mayfield. More to come later.
