Dear Sabre Families,
We are two weeks away from Fall Break as we enter our final week of October. The weather is warming up from the frigid temperatures last week and it looks like there will be no snow by the end of the week. Another reminder, and as we know as Albertans, expect the unexpected when it comes to the four seasons.
First Quarter Exams:
Upon review and reflection of our First Quarter Exam Schedule, we are going to move our final assessments at the 10 and 20 level back one day to allow for more meaningful review and more time for students to complete any missing assignments. For our 30 level diploma students, the diploma is optional and students can opt in or out of writing the diploma exam right up to the exam dates. Diploma teachers will be compiling a preliminary list of students who are wishing to write the diploma exam this week.

Quarter Two Timetables:
This week, administration and guidance will be working on adjusting quarter two timetables should you have requested one along with adding students who are planning to return to class for quarter two and vice versa for those students who are opting for online instruction.

Group Fitness: Recreation Online:
Fall back into fitness with registered group fitness classes. Sign up for single classes or register for the whole session. Strathcona County is offering group fitness programs for both beginners and fitness enthusiasts. We also offer specialized health-based programming including programs for individuals with chronic health conditions.
The safety of all participants and staff is top priority. All programs have been created to meet Alberta Health Services guidelines to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community.
