HFRCS Newsletter SY 2022-2023

November 29, 2022 - Vol.2 Issue 14

From the Principal's Office

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope that all our school families enjoyed a most blessed Thanksgiving holiday!

Our NED Kindness Sale begins today and runs until next Monday, December 5. The Kindness Sale is a pay-it-forward process so that NED’s Kindness Adventure can be shared at another school. It also helps to support artisans from Kenya as well as provide clean water for kids in Kenya by assisting with a well project. The order form is attached to this email.

Today is Giving Tuesday, and if you are inclined to support Holy Family through Giving Tuesday, please consider our “Thirteen Days of Giving.” A gift of any size can be given between November 29 and December 11. In case you are wondering, the number 13 represents the years Holy Family has been providing a quality Catholic education to students in our community. A gift of $13 would be great! Please see the message from our Advancement Director, Mary Ann Conway, in this newsletter for more information about the Thirteen Days of Giving.

As we begin the season of Advent, our students will be supporting the St. Francis Inn in Kensington with donations of hygiene products. Please see the list in today’s newsletter for more information. All donations must be in by Friday, December 9.

Please be sure to read the “Handbook Highlight” in today’s newsletter regarding haircuts. We want to be sure all students are following the uniform guidelines to conform to the policies of the school. The appearance of the student reflects their respect for themselves as well as their respect for our school.

Picture re-take day is scheduled for this Friday, December 2. If your child was absent for picture day, be sure to bring your picture order form. If you are having pictures re-taken, please bring in the picture package you received in late October.

This Friday marks the end of the first trimester. FACTS gradebook will be closed to print report cards beginning on Friday, December 2 through Friday, December 9. It will re-open for parent view at the close of the school day on December 9.

Sincerely Yours in Christ,

Mrs. Haggerty

From the Advancement Office

As your favorite Christmas songs begin to play on every radio station and in every retail store, we are reminded of the hustle and bustle during the Most Wonderful Time of the Year. We take time to be thankful for all the blessings we have received this past year, which is quickly followed by the bargains and deals of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. However, on a day when there is a global generosity movement, we take a break to give back to those communities and organizations that make a difference in our lives.

Giving Tuesday is a day where YOU can spread Christmas cheer to Holy Family Regional Catholic School. This year, Holy Family will celebrate this global generosity movement with a timeless Christmas song with a twist of Holy Family spirit,

The Thirteen Days of Giving

Holy Family Regional Catholic School has provided hundreds of students with a quality Catholic education. Since our school opened its doors, Holy Family Regional Catholic School gave to families 13 years of inspiring challenging, and nurturing students leading to one incredible faith-based community that continues to grow through your support. (Something worth well more than 5 Golden Rings).

Will you please consider a gift of any size between November 29th and December 11th? As we celebrate our 13th anniversary, we hope to receive gifts of $13.00 to honor each year we’ve operated, perhaps even $26.00 to show investment in the next 13 years of Holy Family. As we near the holiday season, please keep our school on the gift list. No gift is too small and every act of kindness helps Holy Family to keep “Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree”. Let’s make Giving Tuesday 2022 the most wonderful time of the year! Thank you for your continued support.
