Reflections
Earlier this year, I chose my word, "listener," to be the focus of my work here and in my personal life. As I have brought staff, students, and parents into my office, I seek clarity. In the quiet of my office, I'm able to give individuals time to share frustrations, concerns, challenges, and celebrations. It is here I often have the opportunity to truly see individuals through a different lens because we have removed all of the other distractions. This work isn't always easy, and honestly, sometimes I find myself needing to give myself and others time for silence, time to regroup. However, it is through these moments of reflection, I search for root causes and possible solutions.
With us half way through our year, this is a great time for reflection. Reflection of how things are going at Wilson, how each of us are doing in our role here, how we show up each day, how we react to our students when they are in heightened states of anger and frustration, and how we show up for our colleagues. I challenge each of you to find time to reflect. What do you need? What helps you to silence the distractions around you, to help you bring clarity and time for reflection?

Wilson Student Survey- SLO Mid-Year Data Collection
This year at Wilson, our school goal is to focus on building empathy for others with the focus on building positive relationships and helping others. This goal is important because when individuals feel safe, have positive relationships with peers and staff, and they know how to get help when they need it, they will be more willing to take risks in their learning and will continue to grow academically. Please take some time now to complete this survey in order to give us some information in regards to how you are feeling. We appreciate your feedback.

Summative Individuals
We are finishing up our formal observations between now and the first week of February. One item in your EE is a Pre-Observation Conference Form. We are not making you complete this via Frontline Educator. Instead we are including it in our Formal Observation section as an attachment. If you get a notification and the form is blank, please know that it's alright and the information will be in the main Formal Observation in Frontline Educator. If you have questions please see your supervising administrator.
Non-Summative Individuals
We will be doing your informal observations during the month of February and the first week of March.
