Kindergarten "A" Newsletter
March 23, 2020
Dear Parents,
I hope everybody in your family is doing well. How are the children? Are they getting use to the new learning routine at home? I hope so please say hola, I miss them. I hope all the assignments for last week could be covered.
This is the second week since we started our Learning from home. There have been some adjustments, and now we are in the transition to implement the Seesaw Program to Kindergarten “A” to our weekly Planning. This will be as an extra component to our package of activities that you have already at home.
For this reason, it is important that you sign in into this program. Enclosed please find the information to do so. I need this information as soon as possible to start sending activities through this program.
Everyone needs daily access to a laptop/computer, cellphone or iPad/tablet at home, if you DO NOT have any of these devices, please let us know (Sra. Raquel and Ms. Nina at the office) so the school can help providing iPads. Remember that the office is open Tuesdays from 8-12 and Thursdays from 12 to 4pm.
For parents not yet familiar with Seesaw, it is an app that allows students to respond to assignments created by the teachers on a daily basis. The next few weeks will look and feel very different from our everyday school life, but we really need parents’ or other adult support with learning and teaching students about Seesaw. It is truly student and parent friendly.
We already know that these next weeks are NOT to be treated as a break from learning. We expect students to keep up with their daily work and submit assignments the day that we post them. Each student will have a few assignments to complete each day in Spanish. We will still be checking and grading all their work submitted online. We suggest structuring your student’s day so that “school time” is scheduled and happening every day. Each family will have their own individual way of completing this and that’s fine, as log as it’s happening every day.
