LIS SHINES
January 2024 Newsletter
LIS Families and Students,
We had a great week here at LIS, we hope you did as well! Congratulations to our 5th and 6th grade chorus students for putting on an amazing concert on Wednesday, and a big thank you to our families for your flexibility with our rescheduling of the concert due to the storm. Today, our students had a fabulous assembly with former LTPS graduate and Artist Rashad Malik Davis, be sure to ask your students about it tonight!
**Next Tuesday's PTO meeting (1/16) will be all-virtual on Zoom at 7pm. The PTO will email out the Zoom link a few hours before the meeting.
Arrival and Dismissal Reminders as it gets colder outside!
- No student can be dropped off out front before 8:15am, and our doors open at 8:30 (which is when our teachers start work). We have had some students getting dropped off before 8:15, please do not do this as they are unsupervised until our morning duty staff members arrive. We have also seen an increase of late drop-offs after 8:45, being on time to school is important so we can get our day started!
- Students must be picked up by 3:45 each day, unless they are staying after school for a club or activity.
