Technology Tips
Technology for Remote Learning
If your student will need access to an electronic device or internet during the remote learning period, please contact the front office to submit a request at (210) 619-4250.
Google Classroom
ALL students will need to join the Google Classroom that is set up for each of their classes. This is the platform in which they will find all of their assignments during remote learning from August 13th to September 4th. The students will be able to access Google Classroom through their Classlink account.Communication
All sixth grade teachers will be using ClassDojo as the main form of communication throughout the year. We will be available to help set this up during the first week of remote learning.
Please download the ClassDojo App or visit the website www.classdojo.com .
School Supplies: In-Person vs. Remote Learning
In the past, teachers have been able to gather student supplies for safe keeping and distribute materials as they are needed. Due to the new safety procedures, we will no longer be able to collect student's supplies. All students will be responsible for storing and keeping track of their own materials. They will not be able to leave supplies in any of the classrooms, which means all materials should be stored in their backpacks.
Remote Learning
Students who are opting to learn remotely will be expected to have supplies available to use at home, as they are needed (i.e. pencil/pen, lined paper, notebook/journal, etc.) Also keep in mind, if your student returns to school at all this year for in-person learning, he/she will need the required supplies from the supply list.
Supply Drop-Off and Textbook Pick-Up
The only materials that sixth grade teachers will be collecting are the following: paper towels, tissues, and ziplock bags. You will be welcome to pick-up your math and science textbooks and drop off supplies in a drive-thru fashion on the following dates:
Tuesday, August 11th: 8-11AM and 1-3PM
Wednesday, August 12th: 8-11AM and 1-3PM
Thursday, August 13th: 4-6:30PM
Please watch the video below for more details!
