This is your Captain Speaking!
You all continue to amaze me with your dedication and support of our children. Thank you for all of your hard work and setting the tone with your students in morning meetings and setting expectations. I look forward to our assembly to kick-off our PBIS program with students on Friday.
Our leadership team has been working to create this year's PCI and fine tuning our goals and has discussed many ways the coaching team can help support our teachers. As you create your personal goals in Talent Ed, it is important to be sure you use something that can show student growth. If you need assistance please work with our coaches or administrators. Mrs. Jordan and I will be doing observations for P1, P2, and P3 teachers over the next 2 weeks. Anyone needing a refresher on our evaluation processes can click here. https://www.vbcps.com/depts/HR/EvalSys/Pages/default.aspx
Please join me in congratulating Jennifer Meier on her appointment as Title I Preschool Resource Teacher with the Department of Teaching and Learning. While we will all miss her dearly as an amazing Kindergarten teacher, we are fortunate that Jen will still be connected to us at Birdneck through her support with our Pre-K program. Jen will continue to work with our Kindergarten team until we are able to hire a teacher and are able to ensure a smooth transition.
Here's to another AMAZING week!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Captain out,
RV Yoshida
Subs and Passwords.
Teachers this is just a reminder that when you are out and have substitute you should not be leaving your password to get into your computer for the substitute. This gives the substitute full access to your account, including your email etc. This is not best practice VBCPS policy is not to share this information with anyone; I know this can be an inconvenience but this is best practice. So please remember this when making plans for a substitute.
Shout Outs!
I'd like to start posting kudos you all have for your colleagues and will post them here on our Kudos text box if you share something amazing with me.
Hats off to Kim, Joanne and Vicky for helping to clear out and organize the Math/Science closet this week. It looks amazing!
