Whiteley School Report Card
October 30, 2019
Dear Whiteley Community,
The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) released its annual School Report Cards on Oct. 30 for every school in the State of Illinois. The Report Card shows how our school is performing in several educational areas. We are proud of our students’ academic growth and look forward to another successful academic year.
This year, our school continues to focus on supporting our teachers’ use of effective and inclusive practices that meet the needs of all our students. We also continue to focus on supporting our students’ positive experiences and engagement through targeted systems that promote strong student attendance.
In partnership with you, our staff continues to focus on elevating the academic experience and growth for all students at our school.
One component of the School Report Card is the summative designation – a descriptor of how well our school is meeting the needs of all students. This designation is based on eight indicators of academic success and school quality. Our school’s summative designation is commendable. By visiting the School Report Card, you can view our school’s information including several key data sources that outline our school’s performance.
For the first time, the School Report Card includes site-based expenditures – how much money our district spends per student at our school. With these two data points, we have the opportunity to take a closer look at the relationship between financial investments and student outcomes.
We hold high expectations for all students and believe every student can meet our expectations with the right supports. We are pleased with our students’ progress and thank you for your continued partnership to ensure every child at our school is thriving.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us by contacting me directly.
Sincerely,
Faith Rivera
