PE

3rd-5th grade students will focus on Hockey. Students will learn hockey skills and also play small sided games. Students will also complete their begins of the year fitness testing.

K-2 students will learn basic hockey skills including passing, shooting, and defense. Students must wear proper shoes for hockey.

Music

In music class, we are honing our instrument playing skills. Kindergarten is practicing handbells for the piece they are playing for the Holiday Concert coming up Thursday, December 10 at 5:30 pm.


First and Second grades are practicing "Jingle Bells" on the glockenspiels for their Holiday Concert coming up Thursday, December 10 at 6:00 pm.


Third, Fourth and Fifth are practicing "Jingle Bells" on the recorders for their Holiday Concert coming up on Thursday, December 10 at 7:00 pm.


Yes, there are three different concerts due to the fact that SO many people want to attend our AWESOME concerts that there's not enough room for everyone! That's why we split the grades up in this way.


Also, don't forget that the PTA Meeting on Tuesday, November 17 is Military and First Responders appreciation night and K-5 is invited to sing "God Bless The USA" and the Performing Arts Club will be performing "The Rising". Art

Students in K-5 are studying famous artist of different nationalities and backgrounds. Art projects focus on the work of these artists with the student's own interpretation of them.

Media

K-2 will be exploring Cultures and Traditions from different countries and sharing Traditional Literature from various countries.


3-5 will also be exploring Cultures and Traditions from different countries and sharing Traditional Literature from various countries. Students will create a Wonder Wall and use various research resources to examine the possibilities! Students will be learning about and using the Big 6 research model as they discover the answers to their wonders.

Guidance

In honor of Red Ribbon Week, the guidance lessons have a "safety" focus this month. K-2 classes are learning to be safe with medicines. 3rd-5th grade classes are learning to be assertive and resist negative peer pressure.
