Important School Information
Modular Construction Update:
After months of delays, I'm happy to announce that the planned modular project was approved by the Town of Cary last week and construction is scheduled to begin sometime over winter break.
Along with the 7-classroom modular unit, several other major improvements will be made to our school site. Those improvements include a paved fire lane and parking area near the modular building, a covered walkway from the modular building to the recess doors, an improved garbage/recycling storage area, and improved crosswalk markers near the front entrance for pedestrian safety.
If all goes according to plan, the project should be completed in late June/early July. Visitor traffic to the school garden and will be restricted while construction is active.
December 21st Teacher Workday:
This is a friendly reminder that Monday, December 21st is a Teacher Workday. Students do not have synchronous, asynchronous, or face-to-face instruction on Teacher Workdays.
Spring Semester Confirmation Letters:
Families who registered for spring semester Virtual Academy will be sent a confirmation letter via School Messenger on Wednesday, December 16th. Families choosing to participate in face-to-face instruction will not receive a confirmation letter. Please notify the school immediately if you notice an error.
Information regarding spring semester teacher assignments will be sent via School Messenger during the week of January 11th.

Effective immediately, if a WCPSS student or employee does not pass the health screening or if they stay home or are sent home because they are experiencing a symptom of any illness, their household members must also stay home.
