REGISTRATION GOING ON NOW: Parent University Adult Education - Basic Technology Classes for Parents. Sessions available in English and Spanish. This is a 12 hour course on basic technology skills, Parent Portal, digital citizenship, etc. For more information, please see attached flyer.

PUSD is preparing for PreK and elementary students to return to campuses. For updates please click Reopening LEARNs after-school programs at the elementary schools will begin Tuesday, April 13, 2021. Programs will operate from dismissal until 5:00pm, Tuesdays - Fridays. For more information and links to application forms by school site, please click HERE .
Families who did not fill out the PreK-5th Grade return to school survey and would now like to be included in in-person instruction, need to be assigned to a waiting list for an in-person cohort. SAVE THE DATE: The Black History Living Museum Project, Thursday, May 13, 2021, flyer attached. Students from 3rd - 5th grade are invited to participate and must register by April 15th. The Assistance League's Operation School Bell program continues to provide basic clothing for PUSD students in need. CA COVID‐19 Rent Relief Available to Income Eligible Households: Income eligible households who need financial assistance for unpaid rent and utilities will be able to apply for help through the CA COVID‐19 Rent Relief program. If you have experienced a financial hardship due to COVID‐19, have past due rent or utilities, and have a household income that is not more than 80% of the area median income, you may be eligible to receive help to pay past due or future rent and utilities from the state of California. African American Parent Council (AAPC) has scholarships to support college access and success: If you are a black student in PUSD in need of a stipend or reimbursement to cover the cost of college application fees, please apply. Complete the AAPC Request for Stipend Form and return it to the AAPC no later than April 30, 2021. Late submissions will not be accepted. Funds are limited and prompt submission is encouraged. Pasadena City College is hosting a virtual Upward Bound Community Information Night, Tuesday, March 30th, from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., for current 8th-10th grade students. For details and how to participate, please see attached flyer.

Young & Healthy: Help with Earned Income Tax Credit and Filing Taxes: Young & Healthy has recently received a grant called TOMA, which is geared towards providing information to families who qualify for Earned Income Tax Credit and assist them in filing their tax returns. Young & Healthy has partnered with Day One to provide free tax assistance to Pasadena, Altadena, Pomona and El Monte residents. - COVID-19 Vaccine Appointment Call Center: For those without access to a computer or the internet, a Los Angeles County Department of Public Health call center is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. to help schedule appointments at 833-540-0473. Individuals are encouraged to use the website http://www.publichealth.lacounty.gov/media/Coronavirus/vaccine/index.htm whenever possible to sign up for an appointment to avoid long wait times on the phone.
