Mrs. Baxter's Kindergarten
Classroom Updates
Items that are left around school and on the playground are put into the Lost and Found bins near the lunchroom. The bins have gotten very full lately, so all of the Lost and Found items are spread out onto tables which are also in front of the lunchroom. You are welcome to come to school to look for anything that your child has lost or send us an email so that we can look for a specific item. Our class has already walked through once to check. All of the items remaining after Friday will be donated to charity.
**Red Ribbon Week**
Next week, October 24th - 28th, we will celebrate being drug free with Red Ribbon week. There is a special dress up activity for each day.
Monday- Wear red! "Be RED-y to say no to drugs."
Tuesday- Wear a superhero shirt or cape. "Be SUPER, say no to drugs."
Wednesday- Wear a sports or team shirt. "TEAM up against drugs."
Thursday- Wear neon color clothes and sunglasses. "Too BRIGHT for drugs"
Friday- Dress up like a movie character or movie star. "You'll be a STAR when you say no to drugs." Dr. Turner has said that students cannot wear masks or bring weapons, even if they go with the costume.

Book Character Parade
Kindergarten and Pre-K will have a book character parade on Monday, October 31st with our costumes and our books that match the costumes. If you need help finding a book that goes with a costume, please let us know so that we can check our library.
On the 31st, we will all meet in the bus loop at 8:30 for the parade and a fun snack from our room moms. (Please notice the time change from the original information we sent home, due to a conflict with the school schedule.) Families are welcome to come watch!
