How is diabetes contracted?
People with diabetes have high blood glucose, also called high blood sugar or hyperglycemia. Diabetes develops when the body doesn't make enough insulin or dose not use enough insulin or both. Insulin is a harmon made by cells in the pancreas
What kind of symptoms come with diabetes?
Most of the time there are no symptoms. When symptoms do happen, they include very thirsty or using the bathroom a lot, fatigue, vision gets blurry, and sometimes weight loss.
How is the disease treated?
Eat healthier
Eating well to balance a healty weight is one of the most important things you can do to lower your chance of getting type 2 diabetes and heart disease.
Take insulin often
By taking insulin, it helps manage your high blood sugar or "glucose"
Check your blood sugar
By checking your blood sugar, you can see often if you need less, or more insulin.
Long term health effects of diabetes
The most common long term effects of diabetes is, damage to the large blood vessel of the heart, brain and legs. Some other effects damage the small blood vessels, causing problems in the eyes, kidneys, feet and nerves
