Personal Information
My name is Elena, and I am super excited to be part of the Anasazi team as a Spanish Teacher. I speak three languages, Spanish, Greek and English, and I have worked in different countries such as the United Kingdom and Greece. I am eager to be part of Anasazi and bring all my knowledge to the school, and to get to know our students. After working in a different school system, I believe that the priority is to make our students feel confident and comfortable so we can have a good learning environment. I aim to help our students to develop their skills and prepare them for a better tomorrow.
Education & Experience
After I finished my degree in Spanish Language and Literature, I wanted to try something new, so I moved to the United Kingdom where I became a Certified Teacher. Working in the British School System for almost seven years, I decided to move to Greece where I became an IB and IGCSE Teacher and Examiner.
Welcome Elena!!! We are so excited you are a part of our team.
***Parents - Please send one spiral one subject notebook for Spanish class, grades 2-5 only.

I want to thank all of those who were able to join the Facetime Live story time last Sunday. The World Needs Who You Were Made to Be by Joanna Gaines provided a great reminder that we are all one of a kind and the world needs who we were made to be. Following the story, I have received many beautiful hot air balloon drawings that I am proudly displaying from my office window. Thank your children for making my office more beautiful.
A reminder that SUSD sends weekly briefings. Information regarding tutoring, volunteers, community updates, masks, etc. can often be found in these communications. As we get closer to 9/29, please continue to check your communications from SUSD as more changes may be on the way.
Serving your children,
Ms. Waldron

Anasazi Wonder Wall
This month's IB Learner Profile Attribute is INQUIRER.
“We nurture our curiosity, developing skills for inquiry and research. We know how to learn independently and with others. We learn with enthusiasm and sustain our love of learning throughout life. ”
The students will be creating one large Anasazi Wonder Wall to document all of their questions and things they are curious about. Students are encouraged to take action and research their questions to find answers. If your child completes this action at home, please take a photo and send it to me at sarmstrong@susd.org or to his or her teacher.
This is a great way to encourage learning outside of the classroom!
Anasazi PYP Parent Portal
We have created an Anasazi PYP Parent Portal for you to be able to find information about Anasazi and our PYP journey. Here is a link to an introduction video about our portal and the information that can be found there.
